Tal Herzberg

Tal Herzberg has become one of today's most successful producer/ engineers, with recent credits for Christina Aquilera, the Black Eyed Peas, Herbie Hancock, Joss Stone, American Idol, the Pussycat Dolls and JC Chasez. Herzberg has also formed a new strategic partnership with the legendary Henson Studios (formerly known as A&M Studios), where he does much of his recording and mixing. Having spent years trying to find the perfect studio monitoring system, Herzberg has chosen KRK's Expose E8T and V12 Series 2 Subwoofer.

Born in Tel-Aviv, Herzberg studied classical guitar starting at age five, and rose to become one of Israel's top session bassists by his 22nd birthday, with over 60 album credits. Moving to Los Angeles in the early '90s, Herzberg quickly established himself as a leading mixer, programmer, editor and producer for music, TV and film projects. In addition to his professional audio career, he currently writes technical articles for leading music and audio magazines.

Why did Herzberg choose KRK?
We'll let Tal tell the tale:

"Doing all my work on a Digital Audio Workstation, I felt a need to have a reasonably sized set of speakers, one that sounds 'big' enough when playing loud, yet can be placed close to the DAW and function as a set of near-fields when playing softer," says Herzberg. "The E8T and V12S are perfectly sized for the job, and I have them mounted on standard speaker stands a few feet away from the workstation. The excellent transient response of the E8T's Kevlar woofers helps a lot in handling the 'snappy' nature of transients in digital recordings, while the Soft Dome tweeter helps reducing ear fatigue after hour of listening."

He continues, "Finally, it's easy to hear a superior stereo or surround imaging thanks to an advanced cabinet design. The built-in amplifiers in the units are impressively powerful, and coupled with the V12S subwoofer, can project deep bass sounds without clipping or distorting. I've also added a smaller set of V6's and an RP-10S subwoofer to my private home setup, I simply can't think of a better solution for my needs."
